Tappan Zee Walkway Access Platform

In order for workers to safely access the piles being installed on the Hudson River, County Fabricators collaborated with field engineers at Tappan Zee Constructors to make platforms that would sit atop the floating barges within inches of the water that would provide safe and easy access to the piles so they could be spliced. The walkway platforms were custom designed and the gratings were galvanized and welded to the steel frames. The walkways were attached to the barges with L shaped steel beams and the walkway was one integral unit of W12 X 45 beams spanning approximately 65 feet in length
