Tappan Zee Mi Jack Trestle Superstructure Assembly

County Fabricators recently completed fabrication of the Mi Jack Trestle superstructure assembly for Tappan Zee Constructors. The superstructure consists of two rows of steel trestle girders each 315 feet long and 8 feet wide with 4 feet wide grating platforms and railings with a heavy duty guidance track.

This Mi Jack Trestle allows segments of the New Tappan Zee Bridge to be assembled at the Port of Coeymans in Albany, NY. After each segment is assembled it is shipped via barge on the Hudson River directly to the New Bridge.
