Tappan Zee Girder Alignment Mechanism

In anticipation of the erection of the approach span’s steel girders, Tappan Zee Constructors (TZC) required the fabrication of Girder Alignment Mechanisms. TZC awarded a contract to County Fabricators for the fabrication of three complete units. These units are to be used to assist in the erection and proper alignment of the 12′ tall x 350’+/- long sub-assembled bridge girders. This is a precise and precision assembly made to very strict tolerances.
