Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Country Fabricators and its employees are committed to meeting our customers’ requirements for each steel fabrication order. We strive to do each job correctly the first time, every time.

County Fabricators has a complete Quality Management System (QMS) in place based on the principles of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). We are AISC certified for Simple Bridges, Bridge Components and Building Structures, and are an AWS Certified Welding Fabricator. We strive daily for continued quality improvement with both formal and informal training on a continuous basis.

Our QMS starts the moment we receive a Purchase Order or Contract from our customer and includes:

  • A specialized work plan developed to include material procurement, welding procedures and material supplier compliance.
  • Timely reporting of quality and procedural non-conformances.
  • Immediate correction of non-conformances with full disclosure and future preventative action plans.
  • Quality feedback from each customer.

Quality Management goes hand in hand with safety. We are proud to report that in 2013 and 2014 we have an OSHA rate of zero. Each day in the shop begins with a toolbox safety meeting. The meetings are 10-15 minutes long and the teams explore a variety of different topics. Top management attends, participates and interacts with all County Fabricator employees. The toolbox safety meetings reinforce our corporate safety program on a daily basis.
